Are you looking for a thinner cotton scarf with a beautiful tie-dye pattern? Search no further! This shawl is made from organic cotton and tie-dye colored with natural ingredients ... in a fair way!!
A wonderfully stylish scarf for the spring, summer and autumn months, available in natural dye softer colors.
This Tie Dye scarf has a plain "indigo-blue" color on one side in length and a so-called kichermichir pattern on the other. They are rolled up half the length in a certain way, creating this special pattern. By wearing the shawl with one or the other pattern to the front you create a slightly different look, nice and versatile!
These Tie Dye shawls are made in a Fair Trade way by a group of women in Nepal. This NGO is there for the poorer women in central Nepal, and trains them in various tying and dyeing techniques, amongst other skills.
The women first tie this woven cotton fabric in all sorts of different ways and then color them with natural ingredients. They mix the ingredients themselves to the right color, using indigo, pomegranate, ratanjot, lac, and madder, among others.
No shawl is exactly the same and therefore completely unique.
Pay attention:
Due to the natural coloring of this scarf, the color may become slightly lighter after washing and the indigo-colored shawls may give off somewhat (bleeding). Therefore, be careful when using the scarf during rainy days and also when wearing lighter clothing!
Advice: Wash separately in cold water.
